Do you think any insurance company would cover anyone for the TT?!

There are several policies which will cover you, the ACU policy can also be upgraded.

The ACU Benevolent fund and TT Rider’s Association also help with immediate costs and hardship.

But do they pick up the pieces of a broken family where the wife needs counselling, they can't afford to pay their mortgage etc?

We should be funding social programmes that do that for all untimely deaths.

I agree it is their blood but it is a selfish sport. How may people prob g along with it cos what they loved to do - I signed up for this ?  When reality strikes how many widows forgotten about the next year? Kids without their fathers?  Unless they were at height of careers and earning big bucks isn’t it just a selfish hobby?  It’s now basically a blood sport and we are so desensitised cos it’s so good for the Island.  We need to change this now. Still have festival but somehow reduce the blood count. It only matter of time till major incident with spectators then gone for good anyway. End of just a needless waste of life

Go ask .. please go ask if it helps.... you are taking on burdens that are not yours to assume...

Would love to see how many of the forgotten widows are coping years after when husbands have been forgotten by “the TT community” and possibly struggling financially and Dad The Hero hanging on the wall. Sorry if sounds harsh but deaths are like chip paper so to speak.
