x-in-man
Just had a return trip across. Car and 2 - cabin each way, morning sailing and over night return. Booked it in June. c£400 Great staff, service and on time. Clean cabins, good sleep. Boat for me every time now. Foot and fly from a decent airport in the UK - or take the car.

I think boat is reasonable price despite what t6e Facebook warriors say demanding subsidised fares all year, I’m going to heysham September with cabin returning lIverpool car +2 £340 booked in march
Ringy Rose
I’ve just booked to go next week as a foot passenger- £28 for the sailing and £22 for the lounge. Assuming we don’t get another gale- tomorrow’s Heysham is cancelled and the SeaCat probably will be.

Got a message from a friend but I can see that they are still selling tickets. Flights are still on sale until TT week next year. They have 60%+ market share. despite the erratic schedules, from zero little over a year ago, without depleting their own Liverpool numbers. Obviously we don't know if they consider the yield that they are achieving to be satisfactory. What made your 'friend' think this? Did he get one of easyJet's infamous 'Important information about your flight....' e-mails? Is it 'man in the pub talk'? Is it rumour a started by Loganair's marketing people?

We needed a manager who wanted to run an airport not more development plans and reports. Legacy left by Chris Thomas MHK who stated things were improving at the airport , more likely lack of maintenance and poor forward planning , and at the start of the second busiest weekend of the year , if the marshals cant get here then what chance Sundays MGP practice

Blade Runner
If you are a group of 4 traveling light, on or off the rock, it is often cheaper- if last minute - and MUCH more convenient to book a small private plane charter. Look at the prices, it will surprise you. Private plane charter is not just millionaire stuff.

I think though there is a potential market there. Can you let us have any examples?

All bags have to go to oversize/referred bags which is scanning slowly. How they'll cope when 2 WZY are departing at nearly the same time? Only one scanner and belt working at security. Depressing Yep thought exactly the same going through there tonight. It was packed In departures.

doc.fixit
It would be a good opportunity, whilst the airport is quiet and has no traffic, to get the small repair jobs done. Although they probably just forgot to turn the conveyor belt on and there's nothing wrong with it really.
