NoTailT
https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/easyjet-announce-more-flight-cancellations-for-monday/ How can Manx Radio classify this crap as 'Local Isle of Man News' when not a single Isle of Man flight is impacted? Fearmongering. I know people that are booking foot passenger tickets on the Manannan because they're concerned over these articles by MR. Well, easyJet did cancel two rotations on Saturday, Gatwick and Liverpool, and their tracker gave no reason, just the usual guff about your 'rights and options'. So against that background, it wasn't unreasonable for MR to flag this statement and let people with bookings for today make their own enquiries and decisions.

'easyJet announce more flight cancellations for Monday'... just not in the Isle of Man!

swoopy2110
Hardly surprising they couldn't secure a landing slot. Departures and arrivals every 2 minutes at Heathrow-on-sea. Especially on a Saturday. The plane is booming with traffic. Shambles. Edited April 5, 2022 by swoopy2110

People (tourists) want to come here, but can't because they can't park their plane? Wonder what the other side of the story is? As if this is true, it's just a complete shambles. Embarrassing shitshow. Can't wait for the explanations....

This island is a lot less known about than most residents think. Last week in the UK I asked a few taxi drivers in the Manchester area if they knew where the island was and only 3 out of 7 had any idea the island was a place let alone a "self governing" entity. The taxi drivers in Liverpool tend to know we are here but outside Merseyside we are just another place that no one knows or cares where it is or what it does. And this is why it’s important to have strong air connections to London . Do people really believe the Isle of Man could even begin to reach anything like this if we only had randomly timed EasyJet flights to Gatwick ? Once again get out there and encourage friends family and business to get booking flights and let’s see more people on the island .
