I can envisage it now .... we need a new terminal because of Friday evening departures !

Bit like we need a bypass for Ballasalla for 15 minutes in a morning, oh and of course that appears dead in the water !

Bypass dead in the water???
Details please.

Just a personal observation that nothing has been happening for months at either end of the farce !

We are building a bypass so we can build 350 houses, guess which one we have got !

Seems the prop is stuck on the ground at Liverpool.

Problem with Loganairs fleet compounds here because their alternatives are what? E135, E145 or a Saab 340? I.e. not enough seats for the flights because they don't have spare ATRs.

This is why fleet commonality is so damn important.

Doesn’t matter how much the Govt bribe them to operate here, the airline calls the shots.

Looking at Flightradar 24, it seems that the last Loganair LPL to IOM last night was cancelled, probably for technical reasons, stranding the IOM-based aircraft there, with its crew. The whole schedule for today is showing as 'delayed' including the flight due to bring FC Isle of Man's opponents to the Island.

The bottom line, is that despite the Government's very expensive love-in with Loganair, they have very limited operational resilience, or interest in the IOM services.

But the airport needs to be able to accommodate the influx that takes place within a short period of time.

Four EasyJets, a Loganair and an Aer LIngus within 90 minutes, it's the same every Friday teatime and it's going to be busy.

I went through last Friday, security was fine with both scanners running, but the lounge was rammed.

Don't be giving them ideas though, they'll want a new terminal!
