Just go in through Belfast then down over the border if there's any issue.
NoTailT
Overheard Loganair crew on my flight this morning, sounds like there's an upcoming exodus of crews on the Island. All headed to Belfast to work for Emerald offering better pay and conditions. Pilots and cabin crew.
NoTailT
Has anyone else noticed the - what appears to be - facial recognition camera at the end of the arrivals walkway before baggage collection? Seems to be a new recent addition...

It's definitely not a normal CCTV camera. Looks like an opticians eye test machine mounted on the wall at the end of the arrivals walkway before you turn the corner to baggage. The Phantom
Flew through Gatwick over the weekend. Check-in was fine. Huge queues at security though and my heart sank when I saw them, but they moved amazingly quickly.

Amadeus
You know what would also help? If IOMG made sure all those people we want to travel and move here can actually do so without being treated like criminals. Say your better half has a non EU passport but IOM residency and LTR: Qatar doesn’t have it in the system and requires you to sign extra paperwork saying they’re not liable, and to top it all off, infamous Manchester Airport border force also treated her like a criminal just now and then got pissy when I asked them why. This is not an acceptable way to treat a law abiding, tax paying resident on return to the UK.
Andy Onchan
Presume your better half is a British Citizen then if she has LTR?
Amadeus
All that’s on top of the usual treatment you’re in for when travelling through the armpit among the UK body of airports of course. Multiple Logan air flights scheduled, one checkin counter open. There were two but one just closed. Presumably they’re short staffed and the other girl had to go to the gate. All adds to the bad first impression of IOM for leisure and business visitors.
Amadeus
Just now, Andy Onchan said: Presume your better half is a British Citizen then if she has LTR? No. Philippines passport holder. IOM doesn’t give out residency cards so unless you bring all your home office paperwork every time you fly, you’re not going anywhere. Oh, and all the passengers from the other flight were just out ahead of us in the queue. With just one checkout counter open. What a total joke Loganair is. IOMG needs to get a grip on air travel or they can forget all their fantasy visitor targets.
