I have used the airport a couple of times but used busses to get there and back. What a shambles that car park is. No signage at entrance. Old barriers broken but still in place. No directional arrows to show where to go. Nothing to show where disc parking area is. Everything overgrown. It looks like the whole area has been abandoned. Lots of signage saying Ringo etc. Inside the old cash machine/ticket dispensers all still in place covered with tape and Ringo posters. People at the information desk asking how and where they pay. The whole thing looked like we were entering or leaving a third world country. For goodness sake doesn't anyone care any more about first impressions. A few quid on paint and a weeks graft could make such a difference. There are people voted into positions of power usually because they say they care and want to improve things. I wish some of them would do what they have said they would. I really think just about everything about this Island has deteriatted over the 30 years I have lived here. Maybe he's out in a hanger with his meccano kit trying to fix the car park barriers as budgets are tight.
