Saw this in the downstairs passenger holding area at the airport this morning. How can we employ such tits in the Government that can't get someone to proofread that they've put a "0" instead of an "O" in their advert. Even better, there's 3 of these big boards up too, all showing the same mistake.

It  emphasises the fact I  would think it's deliberate

Now we are signed up to GNAA how much use does the “air ambulance” get?

GNAA is acute trauma only

Frequency and cost would be commercially sensitive. Anyway, who has the budget  for it and  who gets to decide if it is required for a case....best not to look too closely probably.-

PS - Did the island have one in the 1950's.

Can Loganair land on 03? I've only ever taken off from 03. The one landing I've done on 03 was Citywing. Is there not something to do with terrain that means larger aircraft can't land 03? (I may be wrong)

Clearly with the right wind direction i.e. Northeast, loganair can and have used 03.

We used to get the RN Yellow helicopters - now CG red and white for free.

These were for urgent transfers, acute trauma and transfers to hospital from remote/difficult locations.

Seems they are only used for Maritime/SAR now.

What is the GNAA costings?

If it's costing us - where where the tenders and expression of interest postings?

Who pissed off HM Coastguard over transfers?

What will be done when the little Eurocopter cannot fly in the conditions but the Sikorsky or the Leonardo can?

I'm totally flummoxed by all this talk of runways and meteorology All me and my family want is a good customer experience in the airport and safe, comfy 'planes that are on schedule.

I realise that weather and faults can cause delays but good communication with the travelling public and support getting other flights or accommodation would go such a long way to getting on-side with customers.

There's an item on tomorrow's Tynwald Order Paper that might be of interest:

6. Airport and Harbours Statement to be made by the Minister for Infrastructure.

There's 24 questions and three other statements before, so probably around lunchtime.

perhaps what the CM was talking about with Paul Moulten when he stated the Min for DOI would be taking a restructure of the department to October Tynwald? interesting, thank you.

Totally wrong, sorry... I meant land on 21 i.e. with today's wind conditions. Citywing was the only time I've approached from that direction.

I've been on an ATR piloted by Paul Quine that has landed on 21.
