Roger Mexico
I'd be more concerned that message appears to be: "Come and live in the Isle of Man. You'll want to throw yourself off a cliff".

How can we employ such tits in the Government that can't get someone to proofread that they've put a "0" instead of an "O" in their advert. Even better, there's 3 of these big boards up too, all showing the same mistake. It emphasises the fact I would think it's deliberate

Anyway, who has the budget for it and who gets to decide if it is required for a case....best not to look too closely probably.- PS - Did the island have one in the 1950's. I've only ever taken off from 03. The one landing I've done on 03 was Citywing. Is there not something to do with terrain that means larger aircraft can't land 03? Utah 01
You're wrong. ........and are you getting your runways confused? Nothing can land with a 32kt tailwind. Edited October 17, 2022 by Utah

x-in-man
We used to get the RN Yellow helicopters - now CG red and white for free. These were for urgent transfers, acute trauma and transfers to hospital from remote/difficult locations. Seems they are only used for Maritime/SAR now. What is the GNAA costings? If it's costing us - where where the tenders and expression of interest postings? Who pissed off HM Coastguard over transfers? What will be done when the little Eurocopter cannot fly in the conditions but the Sikorsky or the Leonardo can? doc.fixit
I'm totally flummoxed by all this talk of runways and meteorology All me and my family want is a good customer experience in the airport and safe, comfy 'planes that are on schedule. I realise that weather and faults can cause delays but good communication with the travelling public and support getting other flights or accommodation would go such a long way to getting on-side with customers.
Roger Mexico
There's an item on tomorrow's Tynwald Order Paper that might be of interest: 6. Airport and Harbours Statement to be made by the Minister for Infrastructure. There's 24 questions and three other statements before, so probably around lunchtime. Guest
RW 21 was often used by Manx Airlines, even the BAE 146 on occasions.
