They are also in thrall to the green lobby, Daphne, Manx Labour Party and Facebookers, who seem to think that now there are new MHKs they are calling the shots - and they are terrified. In the same vein, a reduction in ADP may help towards making travel to the island a bit cheaper.

asitis
Well they are certainly intent on keeping aircraft movements, particularly smaller ones to a minimum now that winter and SW strong winds are prevalent ! A runway which was originally notamed to open on the 29th August is now notamed closed until the 30th November ! Great move at this time of year, whilst we are purging DOI can we please purge the muppets out of the airport ! FFS large airports can resurface in a matter of hours, surely months is not asking too much ! Edited October 31, 2021 by asitis 1

TheTeapot
The Lagan crew who were brought over to do it have left, and the tarmac plant they had out at the Balthane end has been taken down, so you'd hope it was finished.
