Jesus, don't get them started on needing a bigger hospital, just in case........

Seriously, I'm sure that Manx Care will have a major incident plan to deal with such a number of casualties, using both local and off-island resources.

I remember someone  posting  about some exercise at the hospital to deal with such an event..Might have been a man in the pub thing.

..Must have been 3 or 4 years ago before everything  became related to covid

At the start of COVID they built two refrigerated containers out as makeshift morgues and I'm pretty sure they're still there.

I think they are using them to store there ready meals, before being put in the    re-gen ovens. Hope they don't drop a bollock and put cadaver in by mistake. Its ALIVE !

That’s what happens when you employ people to run an airport who can actually be arsed running an airport.

But Jersey has always had about twice the number of pax each year as the Isle of Man has.  About 1,729,000 versus 855,000 in 2019 for example.  There are a variety of reasons for this (larger population, poorer sea services and so on) but it means that they are always going to get a better choice of routes.  And Paris and Amsterdam are both simply nearer to Jersey than they are to the Isle of Man

easyJet have overnighted an aircraft at Inverness for years, and more recently at Aberdeen too. Presumably Cobb must know how these deals have been cut and financed.

Such an arrangement here would not solve all problems relating to London connectivity, but it would give a better morning departure to Gatwick and alleviate the issues around extended opening to accommodate the current late departure back to Gatwick.

It might also gain them bums on seats. You only need to look at the booking engine to see that no-one wants to go on that late evening departure, if they can avoid it.

There’s no VAT on the aviation fuel either if they fill up there.

It’s beyond belief that as we currently stand we only have one or two flights into London Gatwick after the end of March . This needs resolving urgently to provide certainty for passengers . It’s not like it’s a marginal destination we are talking about the capital of England …… London !

In May 2022 Mr Glover said there woud be a 6 months trial of the RingGo parking system. It seems to have gone very quiet. 6 months are now up. Would he like to tell us how much this fiasco has cost ie how many tens of thousands of lost revenue  are involved and what is the ongoing situation. Or will he say nothing and hope no one notices?

Bring back the old system of barriers and payment on exit. Easy and simple

I imagine an early departure and late arrival would be very popular.
