Didn’t last long, thankfully never came back here otherwise many would’ve been waiting for refunds

perhaps its a blessing that they dropped the isle of Man  for what they thought was a more lucrative route ,

its time we looked after the airlines  servicing  us at present ,

Is anyone apart from the minister and airport director surprised about this ?

Flybe Mkii highlights the challenges of making money on regional flights. Easyjet results this week showed strong forecast for their holidays division. Will regional destinations stay on their radar? Last night’s flight from Gatwick was only half full - on a Friday night, not good indicator

Half full because leaving it to the last flight is too risky to get back for the weekend.

With substantial bases at places like Bristol, Belfast, Edinburgh etc. and dozens of intra-UK routes, easyJet are the UK's biggest 'regional airline' by a country mile, so I think you can be sure they'll stay in that market.

Easyjet are by quite some distance the UK's biggest regional airline, I don't see them leaving the market.

And the IOM flights already fit around their international flights, in marginal time, so if they're making money they'll stay. And the load factors they need aren't as high as Loganair as they have bigger planes- a half full A320 has more people on it than an ATR72.

It's surprising how few people realise this.  The CAA 2022 figures won't be out for a couple of weeks yet, but if you look at the November figures for example, easyJet carried 570,516 of the 1,240,449 domestic pax carried (46%).
