is that the palace where Chris  Thomas  the minister in charge of this department  regularly  talks out off ,?

the business  and tourist sector is being hamstrung by regular delays and cancellations at Ronaldsway ,  time for Thomas to go !

...........I know that the ATC service is in dire straits, but how anyone with an ounce of common sense can seriously think that constantly opening, and closing, is any sort of solution is beyond belief.

It's not just 'anyone'. Just the utterly incompetent, pathetic, idiotic people involved in running such key matters as the airport including the responsible politicians who do not, or will not, grasp the very damaging impact of the long running serial disruption on the island and it's reputation. And then there is the basic fact of the now almost constant severe disruption to airport users. And incalculably large economic damage to the island.

It's beyond deeply sad.

And all avoidable with half a brain and the slightest will to act.

Gatwick due to leave c23.00!!

LGW-IOM taxied at LGW 2116 and departed at 2135.

Currently doing 400 knts. Should have been thrashing the engines harder and doing 450 knts like the LGW-BFS.

Will need to do a quick turn around

Smaller, lighter a/c, but also at a higher altitude so will generally be quicker. Plus it seemed that it didn't make a normal approach (had to extend it) so maybe ATC had gone on a break to allow them to stay open longer to facilitate departure? So no reason to rush to get here perhaps.

Pushing back at 2315 ! How can we do this today and not normally.

Fair play to Ronaldsway.

The team at Ronaldsway did a great job . That said EasyJet work on a turnaround time of 30 mins in their schedule I wonder how realistic that is at every airport ? Maybe that’s why they are always picking up delays.
