If it can't make up the time again as the day goes on then its not going to arrive at 21.05. It could be delayed for a number of reasons. Clearly they do give a toss as the last thing the want to be doing is having to fork out for hotels again for another 320 people potentially. The late flight does need reviewing by them as its clearly at risk, especially over the summer. Where does 320 come from? That’s assuming everyone flying from Gatwick doesn’t live in the London area, and vice versa. it does need reviewing though.

It’s supposed to land at 21.05 which should leave plenty of time to get out again before airport closes. Clearly Easyjet don’t give a toss. The original landing time was 2035. Utah 01
Cancelled again - this easyjet operation is a total clusterfuck and has completely screwed Mrs Utah's weekend in London. This late-evening departure has always been a game of Russian roulette and is not acceptable. 3 1

Tomorrow morning flight full too.

It's been like this for years, in the Summer, and is not really connected to the shambolic state of Ronaldsway. The hard curfew has always been 23.00 which means they really have to be out of Gatwick by 21.00. The scheduled time is 19.15. It's beyond comprehension that easyJet themselves cannot see that they are incapable of running this schedule anything like reliably. It is costing them money in refunds, accommodation and compensation. Why they don't revert to the Winter timing of 18.15, which would give them more wiggle room, is not clear.
asitis
My colleague is now stuck in a long queue at border control to re enter the country after going into the departure lounge ! FFS.
madmanxpilot
It’s what happens when you have to rely on an off Island operator who doesn't have you anywhere near the top of their list of priorities. The ideal solution would be for IOMG to own its own airline, or at least go into partnership with a similar jurisdiction. Lots of synergies to be had if we were to team up Aurigny. Yes, they lose money, but an awful lot of that ‘loss’ finds itself being spent in the local economy. Second best solution is to insist that any airline servicing our lifeline routes has a crew base here. EasyJet are a fab airline - but are they really a good fit with the IOM’s specific requirements for a frequent an reliable air service?

Do Loganair have capacity to do the route ? Maybe swap Heathrow. Qatar (albeit codeshare with BA) Turkish, Emirates, Lufthansa all fly out of LGW. Etihad, Cathay, Singapore all fly out of Manchester. Do we really need Heathrow?

What compensation can a person claim? My son now has to take tomorrow off work as he can't get there.

If they gave a toss and not fingers crossed planning schedules they would realise it’s going to be late and adjust timetable accordingly .
