Spake is paid to manage the airport, not ponce around making documentaries and do eff all whilst the place goes to hell ! The airport is a managerial shit show in almost every aspect. Largely down to staff absence arising from the virus but it’s been quite a common issue for several years on that route . Actually due to major engineering works at Victoria over the Christmas New Year period. All Airports can be affected by such things, so it's hardly an argument for anything. With Heathrow there are options ( Heathrow Express or Piccadilly line ) London City ( DLR or bus even a taxi is not too bad as so central) .
