Well, it's not just us!

I've also heard rumours that Easyjet also just don't have enough Pilots.

This is the “new normal” they always promised us after covid. It’s what happens when the airlines and the airports let go of so much staff they now can’t cope with demand.

This is the new normal for everything since covid.  Nothing works anymore.  No one seems to work anymore.

to have a listen to what us pilots have to say

Did we not have a pilot at the heart of the parish council until the last election?

The uncivil service run this island; the 'ministers' are powerless to affect policy that doesn't agree with the CS groupthink.

Stuck on the tarmac for 45 minutes now because of ATC break. Pilot sounded perplexed. Whole plane load of angry passengers. Loads of missed connections as the flight was already delayed due to a medical incident that saw the fire trucks come out.

I wonder why they are so reluctant to name the person or persons responsible for the lack of succession planning in ATC?.

Because under CS protocols, public naming and shaming is not PC. They are a protected species in that respect, the culture approach is to look forward at all times, not back, and it didn't happen. At best they'll be moved or retired, that's if they haven't already departed. And if there's any expense, the taxpayers will cover it.

Mrs Lanesra and I have a friend visiting from SE England at the moment. She was supposed to arrive from LGW last Monday evening, but her flight was cancelled, so she arrived on Tuesday. She was also supposed to fly home via LGW on Saturday evening, but her flight and last night's flight were both cancelled. We're hoping that tonight's flight to LGW departs, but it's awful that we can't rely on easyJet to get her home.

So airport to blame for medical issues now and what idiot has a connection that they’re going to miss for 90 minutes delay?
