In fact in May there was a net 500 more passengers using Loganair into London and around 200 in June . So yes London City has dropped but clearly more people want to fly to Heathrow. I think it demonstrates the point I have made before that there are different markets and customer needs and a single airport approach for London is not what people want . A factor also is the unreliability of the Gatwick route as many people I know are choosing anywhere in London as opposed to Gatwick and easy ! We have to go to Gatwick soon, but are doing so via Dublin, where there is at least some degree of certainty.
english zloty
The spin doctor can't even get the stats right 😀😀 19 flights. 8 on time, 11 delayed and 1 cancelled it states 😂😂 either way, polishing a turd somewhat!

Last night's EZY Gatwick was already 90 minutes late, but had to hold for 20 minutes so ATC could have a short rest and then be able to stay open long enough to bring the flight in and then get it out again. It was eventually two hours late departing. The early evening EZY Liverpool was on the ground here for two hours as he had to wait while ATC closed and then re-opened. You have to think that EZY, and their captains, must be getting pretty fed up of this charade, although their own poor reliability is a contributory factor. ADELE
It must be costing fortunes in fuel with all this holding malarkey apart from extending the crew’s working day.

Guest
Currently four scheduled arrivals holding, it is a shame that the mandatory ATCO breaks apparently can’t be adjusted in relation to actual movements. Guest
Having said that, they have now been very effectively sequenced for approach and landings. Let’s hope the ground handlers are ready.

They’re scheduled to avoid delays but airlines & particularly easyJet are always running late so they then coincide with scheduled ATC breaks & then everyone complains about airport!! If easyJet could just get their reliability sorted then it wouldn’t be so much of a problem

As has been explained many many times they are short of ATC which they’re trying to rectify, the breaks are a mandatory requirement unless you expect them to break the law to suit your needs & have airport closed?
Dirty Buggane
Loving the clock at the Amsterdam airport. But, no we do not need one to in rich the Ronaldsway experience
