Thomas has been sacked.

Cannan taking charge himself.

Alf is all heart, taking over after the shambles of the last few months he should have his arsed kicked for letting it get to this stage. He clearly was not keeping his eye on the ball.

One of life's mysteries. I've never understood the role of the IOMCAA. Every time something contentious crops up they state that they have to comply with the UK CAA.

The IOM CAA was set up the same time as the Aircraft Registry (2007) and was presumably part of the legal requirement for that with regard to there being acceptable separate aircraft regulation.  The same thing happened at a similar time in Jersey/Guernsey.

Taking over nominal supervision of the Airport was presumably a side-effect, though it's clear that they were supposed to follow the UK very closely and some things (such as statistics) are still done there.  But the UK will still be ultimately responsible for making sure that the IOM complies, because the UK will be the one involved in signing the relevant international agreements.

Has anyone got any info on the incident down at Bradda?  Do we know if it involves a trip to or from Ronaldsway?

Coastguard helicopter is up, seemingly impacting the approach for aircraft and Dublin currently circling. Unless it's tea break related.

Christ what a bizarre route.

Why?  How it it bizarre if you have absolutely no idea what they were up for?

Probably best just to say nothing than post and come across as an idiot do you think?

Whatever has happened peoples lives will have been changed forever.  Why on earth would you post about the route they were flying (was it meant to be funny?) with absolutely no knowledge of what was going on?  Small planes fly routes similar to that all the time for various reasons FFS
