There’s that dreaded feeling again

Looks like you are somewhere in Europe. Don't you ever stop travelling? Have you calculated your annual carbon footprint - must be at least a size 12.

My carbon footprint is zero - I never leave the sofa. Methane emissions are rather high, though.

According to Iom airport it’s due to land at 21.30 here

According to FR24 it's now due to leave LGW at 21.10. That's probably too late for it to get here and out again.

I hope I am wrong, for all the people who need to travel but this is heading for yet another cancellation. That'll be the third evening Gatwick cancelled in a week. Are you keeping up @Stu Peters

LPL was also cancelled this morning as they were and aircraft down and easyJet chose to cancel IOM rather than BFS.

Yes, I'm keeping up but I don't work for the airlines. If they can't stick to their own schedules (and I expect it costs them fortunes to fail so badly) there's nothing I can do. There's no SLA in place under Open Skies. I suggest people should vote with their feet - I hate boats (especially this time of year) but would seriously consider it over a commercial flight at the moment. As other have said, it's not just us - the whole air transport industry is in disarray at the moment.

You can’t make this shit up. First inbound plane delayed. Then no one here to load luggage and now the tug is stuck to the plane and they’re waiting for an engineer. Sitting on the tarmac and hating air travel a lot right now. Fuck this.

Have the Government spoken with Augriny (sic) about any possible ‘ merger’ or partnership? Base a couple of aircraft here.

I am surprised that the valet parking operators have not yet put their prices up to reflect the airport costs. I’m sure they will.

I’m surprised the government haven’t gone into airport valet parking themselves in order to stifle private enterprise snd waste more taxpayer money.
