Loganair have cancelled some flights and I've a notification from them saying:

You will only be entitled to a refund if this change moves your flight to a different day, you can no longer complete a day-return trip, or if your flight departure or arrival time changes by +/- 5 hours.

This is a lie

  • 2 weeks later...

Shamblesway airport continues to impress,  Rob Callister on the 1st October 21, gloried on the BBC news that runway 03/21 completed on time and indeed said .....

Rob Callister MHK said the upgrade was "essential to the smooth running" of transport connections.

Perhaps he may like to explain why it is still shut and a notam which expired at midnight last night has been re instated for a further two weeks !

I'll give him a hand to start ... the DOI omitted to order the runway lighting..... and now having got over that we thought, we are still closed.

Is there anything that this and previous administrations can do, it costs the taxpayers a damned fortune for a level of incompetence that is world class. They couldn't organise a xxxx in a brothel !

A bit like they forgot to order the signals for the horse trams?

The signals for the prom , back off thats unfair as they only had 3 plus years to arrange delivery.

Ohh and on the runway Rob Callister hasnt been back on to apologise to us mere plebs for lying to us all. Yes he made a big song and dance stating the runway was finished on time. Etc . Erhhhh no its not . Get the landing lights sorted and  while your at it what about the parking barriers . Mind blowing really .

What’s wrong with the Ambulift ?  It was neither available on 20 December nor yesterday, which makes getting off an Airbus quite some chore.

Has someone forgotten where they've left it?

What an absolute shambles!

This is our only airport , having gone through a real crisis with Covid and no real traffic. Now when its all coming back on line supposely it would seem very little needed is working . First impressions from all the visitors planning on arriving over the next months ?? ! !. Ohhh , as said previously I wonder if they have sorted out the faulty rusted up baggage trolleys yet in arrival hall . Tried 4 or 5 on arrival back from holiday in December and just gave up as all  had rusted up wheels and wouldn't go where you needed them too. Others passengers gave up too . Total disgrace .

The place is falling apart, no leadership, no direction, no one seems to give a toss ! What exactly does the reality TV star do ?

Reynolds was useless but seems we have even gone down a level more FFS !

https://www.loganair.co.uk/our-story/latest-news/2022/british-airways-and-loganair-expand-codeshare-agreement/

British Airways and Loganair have today announced a major expansion of their codeshare agreement, offering more choice and connectivity for customers travelling across the UK.

The expansion to 18 new routes will now give British Airways’ customers access to 38 of Loganair’s UK routes, meaning that customers can book onward connections from destinations across the airline’s route network, or point to point travel in the UK more easily through British Airways’ website. Customers who book onto these selected routes operated by Loganair through ba.com can also earn Avios and Tier points as part of British Airways’ Executive Club programme

Routes now available to book include:

Isle of Man to Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester

British Airways’ customers travelling from Aberdeen or the Isle of Man to Manchester will also now be able to connect onto British Airways’ code share flights on other carriers, including oneworld partners, from the north-west hub. Destinations include New York, Barbados and Orlando, allowing customers to book a single ticket with assured connections.

The news of a codeshare expansion between the two carriers comes as Loganair celebrates its 60th birthday, making it the oldest UK airline still operating under its original name.

This really pisses me off.

One of my grandchildren needs an ambulift to get on and off the plane and in the UK it could not be better, here its a fucking shambles that you would find a better service in a dictator run African country 30 years ago.

Physically lifting wheelchair bound persons stopped being okay about 20 years ago in the civilised world, why do we still have this shit and Moorhouse wants to spunk 5 million on a boat....................

Better spent on something like this, you never know when you or your nearest and dearest will need one.

And still no sign of anything for London . The whole situation is ridiculous.

I think we all cut Crookall a fair amount of slack when he was appointed, as Baker and Black had left him with numerous crocks of shit, around every corner. But after four months, the honeymoon is over, and he really needs to get on top of the miriad of issues at the Airport.
