Why does the airport have a chimney stack?

My dad probably added it as he came from Ireland to work on the construction, Irish airports had thatched roofs and chimneys I believe?

He also worked on the nurse's home but someone must have told him about central heating by then?

9am EasyJet to Manchester finally got away today at 4.50pm. Inbound tried once to get in earlier, abandoned, went back to Manchester. Tried again later with a different aircraft. Credit to EasyJet for coming back for the second attempt, would have been very easy to just cancel and leave people to it.

Yes, fair play to easyJet today, they ran their full programme of twelve flights, including the delayed MAN, which, as you say, they could easily have abandoned.

Loganair ran only about 30% of their schedule, whilst Emerald didn't even try, even though the wind had reduced by the time they were due.

1-0 to easyJet in the good PR stakes, today.

It wasn’t bad in Manchester as flew out from there just after midday. But was on a 380 . Great plane .

Paying off incompetent people again. Sigh.

And the questions still remains who in their right mind would have employed him. Clearly someone who saw something that he failed to show during his employment .

It’s disgusting though the report says he’s already been paid out a substantial sum at tribunal. Now the greedy twat is no doubt coming back for second dibs having seen what Ranson got. We are just a bottomless pit of money for these people. It’s genuinely disgusting how many of these seem to have got big payouts under NDA to keep everything quiet.

This is happening too often.  Total chancers making a financial killing.  The likes of this clown should not have got anywhere near the job at Ronaldsway.

No posts today by the same repetitive people saying easyJet airbus aren't suited to the IOM routes

I don’t think anyone says the Easyjet aircraft are a problem for the IOM, it’s just the Easyjet business model.

To be fair to Loganair, they ran the afternoon Manchester, Liverpool, and London, so in terms of delay probably about the same as EasyJet. Assuming people from the earlier flights were rebooked ok, anyway.

As for Spake, I’d heard he had a massive breakdown just before Christmas 2020. He posted some “interesting” things on social media around that time, saying he was going to commit suicide. I’d say his distress was genuine.

That said, I’d always assumed his stress was mostly caused by the fact he was completely incapable of doing the job he was recruited to do, and that everyone at the airport knew it.
