First flight out delayed 40 minutes because of this. It is stressful enough for patients going across without having things delays due to the airports incompetence! Did they not just use the second machine that they have and rarely used?

Didn't look like either x-ray machines are working.

Managing in terms of actually running the airport was not high on their agenda, it simply wasn't sexy enough. Usual DOI mantra. Masses of money for big capital projects. hissingsid
Man on Mannin line yesterday saying how his grandson on a patient transfer flight had had a nightmare experience with no help from anyone at the airport. He was coming home after having surgery on his ankle, wearing a cage on his leg and with strict instructions not to put weight on the leg. No lift, no wheelchair, had to limp and struggle with his luggage, no compassion. Do these people realise how much it costs to send people across for operations, the costs of an operation, apart from the trauma and pain this young man suffered I hope their actions do not affect his recovery. This is the bare bones of the story but to hear the whole complete debacle was heart breaking.
Numbnuts
Theres a real shit show coming if they dont sort it out very quickly. Lets face it the airport has been running on minimum capacity if at all and with TT looming and the likes of this and baggage and X ray issues its not looking good. Hey , but never mind Jezza will be refreshed from his jaunts .

Happier diner
Was at the Airport last night. All car parks absolutely rammed. This included cars park outside of bays and on verges etc. Virtually impossible to even manoeuvre. Clearly people are taking advantage of the free situation and just parking there for weeks. I am surprised the Taxi drivers/operators are not unhappy about this as many people use a taxi if they are away for more than a few days as it use to be cheaper to do that. Surely it just needed new barriers to be fitted. How can something so simple take years to fix.
