I’ve realized who Pugh is now, think he’s the son of Peggy Pugh who ran children’s centre for many years and got an OBE I think. Nephew of Irene Pugh who inherited lots from Willie Kirkpatrick and sponsored lots of events. 
His father John was a pompous, loud man who was always right about everything.
