I have one question:

What does the Children's Champion and Onchan MHK have to say in all of this?

Very selective in what he gets involved in it would seem. He clearly doesnt see the connection between 'Childrens Champion' and kids running wild in Onchan. But there again he's very selective in anything he gets involved in and very rarely follows anything through.

This crap that they have nothing to entertain them is just that, crap

I grew up in a small, very small, village in England and there was no entertainment laid on.

What did I do?

Go out and terrorise pensioners ?

No.

My mates and I spent a couple of summer holidays building a BMX type track in a local park, with shovels and this was before BMX hit England.

We also did things like camping and dam building in rivers, stuff like that.

But nowadays they would be reprimanded by their local council on the grounds of criminal damage for assaulting the innocent grass and dirt.

As reported on 3fm more vandalism in Onchan. The outside learning area at Ashley Park School was affected. Looks like trouble has returned? Let’s see what our politicos do?

Nowt as usual. More importantly what are the police, i.e. the law enforcement officers, going to do about it? That is literally their job is it not?

Looking for parking infringements in those new bay's on the prom?

Getting paid by the organisers of a classic car enthusiasts meeting to provide a police escort for a drive around the TT course. The Police must be skint, doing everything and anything for funds. Except policing the island.

Do you not read the papers' court reports? Miriads of prosecutions for Cannabis and 'assaulting a Peace Officer'!!! Common assault and drink driving!

Not too hard for the Police to provoke an assault is it?

MHKs being sequestrated for squandering public money? Hmmmmmmmmm, not too many of them!

If a home gets burgled, forget the police finding the culprit. They have form for this. Some crimes are easy to solve, and to prosecute than others.

Sheltered housing area in Onchan was subjected to youths shining torches into their homes very recently. The police were very quick to respond, and keen to pursue the youths responsible, requesting video footage etc.

My question is;  it was dark when this activity was happening, are the parents not aware of the activity of their children later at night?  Surely torches possibly being taken from  their homes would raise questions 🤔.

I always knew where my children was.

If they're not bothered where their kids are at night, they'll be even less bothered about an absent torch.

Heavy parental fines is one answer.

That is a brilliant idea.  Or what about a boot camp or public shaming.
