The Voice of Reason
At about 41 pence per day I am more than happy to pay for the output that the BBC produces. Attenborough, Drama (eg line of duty par example), Sports coverage (Match of the day etc ), Films, Comedy and so on. Most of the people who moan about paying this pittance are those who are paying about £80 per month for Sky plus various other bits Netflix etc. They need to get a life.

Should people have to pay for something they're not using though?

It's almost worth it for radio (I know radio is free). With streaming services I don't think there's such a great need for the BBC to produce TV as Netflix, Prime, ITV etc. would use the talent and produce shows. I find a lot of the BBC TV output to be general fodder for the great unwashed. 1
