Do the people coming here need to be those who the Chamber of Commerce approve of, rather than Syrians or other refugees from war torn or climate ravaged countries of the south or east?

In this economic climate and the dire need for labour in the island, some refugees will be welcome. Refugees that have a skill even better eg, Syrian doctors, surgeons and anaesthesists and particularly those with medical qualifications and training from UK Universities. These will after additional training could be an asset, without being an drain on the economy.

Will he be presenting a budget before KPMG have provided his boss with an economic strategy?

Will it be 'a budget for everyone' ?

What's going on in government?

A budget for a few. We have to be responsible and realistic. Alfie, Allinson and Ashie live on Planet Zanussi, spend spend spend and squander. Increase the civil service headcount, and treat the taxpayers like fools.

By definition, a humanitarian refugee program is not a skilled migration program.

We should welcome refugees when we have the capacity to do so, and there are good reasons to support having a refugee program, but this is not one of them.

There are thousands of supporters causing disruption in nearly every city in the world defending the actions of Hamas and disproving the facts of the attack I am sure they could rally around and help the people who are now suffering from the aftermath of the retaliation . They will be too busy rioting and screaming for blood to dip into their pockets.    There are also the oil rich billionaires, the Sheiks that splash money around buying football clubs, cars etc, they should help but I doubt they will it will be the woman in Strand Street rattling her bucket again .

No there aren't. There may be a few at the pro-Palestine rallies who support Hamas, but the overwhelming majority just don't support Israel's slaughter of civilians.

perhaps they are  the wrong kind of Arabs ? thats becoming obvious as no one in the islamic   or Arab world  world seems to want to help them , after all some of their Arab cousins are from the most wealthiest countries in the world ,many with skill shortages like Dubai and  Saudi,

funny that ?
