Cheers, that's sort of OK. I was asking on behalf of an older couple who just have the one phone between them, because that's all they need. Be a minor nuisance at an airport I suppose, log out, log in, but not unworkable.

How about taking snap shots of the QR codes prior to Travel? No need to log in at all.

Guernsey sending out vaccination status letters to their 2 + 2

Don’t know how acceptable they’ll be in other countries

They’ve also introduced 14 day quarantine for people arriving from large parts of the UK and 7 days followed by 7 days passive for other large swathes. Just as we go the other way.

You've nailed it really.  How 'convertible' are these passports?  At present, I assume not at all.  They might smooth travel wrinkles between the island and the UK, but beyond that...?

Not complicated, except for the moaning Minnies who want the NHS to give them a butler to do it on their behalf.

facetious maybe a tad but I am sure we want to make sure everyone is being catered for, that's all. Equal access and all that...to ensure even those without the method and means for the technology etc to be catered for.

We are still all in this together. 😷

The QR code ones on the NHS App are done to WHO guidance. The barcode paper ones also comply. They’re similar to the EU ones.

The Guernsey ones are worth the paper they’re written on. Except for returning to Guernsey

You can do it via app, on line via the website, or you’ll be able to phone. That’s equal access.

As mentioned before, a bit like the census.

However, it seems like Government is desperate to get everyone on line and enslaved to Manx Telecom and companies like Apple. (typical socialist rubbish again!)

And paperless too. Although seeing how much paperwork is still being generated by and for Governments own purposes it is astonishing how they can try to persuade the public to go digital as much as we can.  Still, Govt must be right or we would not have voted them in.

Hmm depends on your criteria. I trust you will agree that we have got mighty used to easy border crossings in the last 25 years but that has finished.

Just imagine you are an irritable border guard in Europe on a hot day, bored to tears with the relentless job of checking the vax status from those from "l'albion perfide" whose vote has already made your working life much harder. You just want to scan that effing QR/barcode on their NHS app like you have been ordered so to do. Nothing else.. then someone from the IOM (that you've never even heard of) tells you they haven't got that QR because their gov use a different system 🙄
