It was definitely not driver error then. Only a true leader would crash a tram and then throw his maintenance team under it.

We’re going to pay £20,000 in a fine for the fat controller firing his own girlfriend out of a tram and breaking her leg. Why is this asshole still employed despite the fact he said he was going to resign months ago?

Perhaps the DOI Minister Chris Thomas could explain?

Before retiring on full pension for the rest of his life. This is a man who's spent long millions running the bus service into the ground. He wasted hundreds of thousands on a diesel locomotive which never worked and without which the steam railway had run perfectly well for 100 odd years beforehand.

He removed the hump at the top of the Snaefell mountain railway, which predictably resulted in a tram running away back down the hill and being completely destroyed - resulting in more hundreds of thousands being spent retro-fitting an emergency braking system which again, the service had operated safely for a hundred odd years before him without.

He's your archetypal "expert" from across, and following a decade of highly paid incompetence he now gets to retire and see out his days in luxury, courtesy of the increasingly impoverished taxpayer.

The press release says he retired. How do you service notice retiring?

You don’t just say ‘right I’m retiring’ and walk out. Usually a date in the future is fixed and once that is agreed you serve your notice until that date.
