Well, that is true, but I was thinking more of the mother not being able to supply sufficient oxygen. However if there was for example a global pandemic of a SARS infection where there was a reasonable chance that a pregnant woman might die then those decisions become different. The situation was spelled out by wrighty some time ago. AZ is contraindicated as most pregnant mothers are going to be sub 40. Initially there was concern about pregnant women. However pfizer and Moderna are approved. I suspect the original advice has put some pregnant women off. That, and the general position. This has reminded me of my landlady when I was in student digs many years ago, who swore black was white that the rain was caused by space rockets taking off into the atmosphere.
