ballaughbiker
Quote Too many people. Yes. This is BY FAR the number one problem yet hardly anyone talks about it compared to all the other supposed answers. The waste we create is close behind but waste ultimately relies on #1 problem.

Funny how Extinction Rebellion aren't lining up to be sterilized to solve the problem for generations to come. As with most things woke it's other people who need to be 'educated' or dictated to. Usually people just trying to make a living while the clowns protest. Considering the popualton is nearly stable or falling throughout the Western world is the suggestion that other countires do the 'decent thing'? I believe China has just raised the limit on children from 2 to 3 per family. The UK population of 67 million equates to 0.9% of the earths 7.6 billion population. The IOM at 85,000 is 0.001% for a bit of perspective on our impact on global crisis. 7

monasqueen
Back to the topic of petrol.... Who are those idiots who have been panic buying on the Island? Road fuel comes here by ship, and unless there is suddenly a shortage of ships, we have no problem. The main reason for making sure that you have a tankful of fuel is if you are getting the boat in the morning - there's a problem across. There's also the fact that petrol is cheaper here at present.... and.... a lot of filling stations across don't seem to sell E5 petrol, if you have an older car. Asda, for instance, only seem to have E10. But... if you are staying on the Island, DON't PANIC.

Brexit, the Pandemic, toilet roll panic now fuel hysteria showing how a great swathe of the population of Britain are: a)far too influenced by the media b)as dumb as soup.

I suppose we should now close off the topic, seeing as we are no longer being ripped off? Or give it a couple of days for the Island Petrol Wallahs to realise and rectify the situation. Cambon
It has been cheaper for weeks. One small point, I think this panic has been purposely manufactured. 30 September just happens to be quarter end. Nothing like a couple of weeks panic buying to boost figures. Annoymouse
I haven’t seen any panic buying here, I got my usual full tank on Saturday as my fuel light was on, still have half a tank left so will more than likely be filling up again at the weekend again, I can’t see any reason we’d have a fuel shortage as we aren’t reliant on UK drivers.
