Yes , if it’s non urgent

Let’s look at this another way (accepting that most people don’t have a medical degree).
You have a pain. It doesn’t go away even though you ignore it/rest it/take over the counter meds. You get concerned about it but do not feel sick enough to go to A&E. It takes a month to see your GP(as per this example). You are sent for test/xray/scan. The result shows cancer (any form you like).
Do you now think that month’s wait was acceptable?

Earliest appointment for my daughter for a 'standard' appointment having just rung Village Walk = 22 February - WTF!

Is the 4 week waiting list static or increasing? If it is static, spend some money one-off and reduce the waiting times. If the waiting time is increasing, that is a big problem.

Where would the money come from for a one-off expenditure? Ask Chris Thomas how much money he intends to spend on a mural of Fand, the fairy princess - which can only be seen by people flying at 50 feet over the promenade.

Who TF is Fand anyway?  If it is intended to be seen from above, it will look nothing on the ground.

Would you even need to go in a month's time for most ailments?

Well, some stuff possibly will resolve itself, but you don't know,  others may be a chronic condition or renewal of meds (she laughs) or some other non-acute issue that can only be solved with a consultation and prescription.  The thing is, a wait of nearly a month is not the best is it really?

That's what I was getting at you'd be either cured/recovered or on the way to being dead!

That kind of language is not appropriate for ManxForums.

There should be proper parking provision for people using Nobles there simply is no and if you have an appointment you are desperate to attend what do you do, the overflow car park is generally full as well.   I don’t buy this idea of people leaving their cars there all day maybe a few do it but very few.   If you had parking for two hours that would solve that problem .   If anyone went overtime they could send a copy of the appointment letter to the DOI and get it quashed.

The parking enforcers should grow a pair and check details match the driver or the passenger is actually in the vehicle. And that should be all over the island.

According to reports on radio they are also checking tax discs etc & reporting where applicable

I know many who do it .Cheaper than paying for parking  for all day in Douglas.

Many also come in cars  and park for exercising   their dogs over there.

Both these should be clamped down.

It's a hospital FFS and not a place to park your car for the dog ..
