Be useful to know what the waiting time for a non urgent appointment is at each GP surgery and the hold time to get through on the phone
cissolt
What is the running total on money given to Manx care since it was formed? I'm losing track.

Dirty Buggane
Agree with the above post but with the proviso, are they on bonuses for cutting waiting times. Is it written in there contract that they can hire persons who's only qualifications are "I met her/him on a jolly and seemed a thoroughly good laugh or they seemed to be down on there luck since I last seen them, their mother/father were a thoroughly good laugh. As I said before if they had let the dhss slosh money around like it's going out of fashion the results would of been the same except they would of had £3,500,00 extra to pay for nurses pay rises. Instead they are trying to cut nurses money. Will be interesting how much of a rise they vote for them selves. Bunch of freeloaders we have been stuck with thanks to CM Cannan, how much is this going to cost us to get shut of them when the great plan (you know the one NHS England could see was a shit show) Fails spectacularly. Where do you get your information that they’re cutting nurses pay ? Thought offer was 6% plus £1000 consolidated, so if you’re on say £30k it’s a 9.33% pay rise
Dirty Buggane
Less 7.9 inflation. Not such a great sounding deal.
Two-lane
Is there any easily obtainable, and understandable, data on the Manx Care managers' pay rates, pay increases and bonuses?
Cueey Lewis And The News
It’s starting to look like Manx Care can’t stand the heat. They’ve had a few rude messages (probably from people pissed off that they can’t get an appointment or treatment) so it’s all our fault again and they’re playing the victim card. https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/manx-care-issues-warning-to-patients-amid-reports-of-abusive-behaviour-towards-staff-642877
Two-lane
Where is Cope's office? Can someone go there, walk in (without knocking) and tell her a thing or two? She should be encouraging people with complaints to come directly to her.

Manxcare said it wasn't shocked by the reports findings. If they knew these issues existed why haven't they done anything? I guess we are still blaming legacy issues or budgets. There's some shocking things in there: 23. The short-term home, which is intended to accommodate children while their needs are assessed, is not effective. The inspector could not ascertain whether risks for children were understood or professionally managed in this home due to the poor practice. For example, known high risks for children, such as substance misuse, child sexual exploitation and going missing, were evident and children were not safeguarded effectively. During incidents in which children are thought to have used drugs, these concerns are not escalated. On one occasion, a child told staff that they had been having sex for money to enable them to buy drugs. Records do not make it clear whether this concern was escalated, professional curiosity pursued, or additional safeguards put into place. I've not read it all yet, but the reliance on agency staff and lack of outside support for the kids are very telling about a corporate attitude where the important things are keeping stuff at arms-length and keeping things quiet.
