Dirty Buggane
That is an interesting thought, how much of my road tax/vehicle duty whatever actually makes it to the coffers and how much to the civil service. I know I know wrong thread can't be assed moving it and the context.

forestboy
Have diabetes 2. Went to the Podiatrist (NHS) at Port Erin Thie Rosien this morning for 6 month check/review. They will no longer cut toe nails. Just a cursory check of feet! Given a couple of moisturizer cream sachets and nail files. Now appears to be a DIY thing or pay for a private podiatrist. Has always previously been an excellent service every six months but now severely reduced.

Dirty Buggane
Got to afford the new HR staff some how. Let's not forget the £8,000 clawback from school kids bus fares. How about the £120,000+ they are losing out on not paying for parking.

Using their figures I computed it as £220,000 over two years. It is now nearly three years since the end of the panic. Throw in inflation and the fact that the charges were probably not at commercial rates...
Boo Gay'n
While I do not like to see anyone being abused - in person or virtually - it is hardly surprising that people kick off when having to deal with a failing service run by ineffective and very expensive leaders. https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/manx-care-ceo-shocked-and-disappointed-by-abusive-comments/

Use of the C word would put that in abuse as would unsubstantiated claims of being useless. Also interesting that despite TC offering to meet and discuss no one took the offer up. Cowardly bullies, perhaps? 1
