Kopek
Health workers are more likely to be honest about their LTF positive and take the responsible time off.

Yes, add it to the costs incurred by the 16 kids responsible for 275 offences between them who've cost the taxpayers a small fortune. Police, courts, social services, etc.

Police, courts, social services, etc. Any society will have a number of people in this category. It is part of life as we know it. But the greatest waste of money, by many millions every year, is that caused by the gov. and the politicians. 26 minutes ago, finlo said: BIRCH THEM! I am not in favour of either capital or corporal punishment, however in this case if the MHKs and gov. managers were liable to get a good birching when they have yet again screwed up, I think we might make a bit of progress. Max Power
I received a letter the other day from Manx Care, asking if I could be contacted by a company called Medefer who are being brought in to review and 'prioritise' patients who are awaiting treatment across a range of specialities. The unfortunate name makes it appear as though they specialise in the art of deferring rather than referring! It sounds like its a second face for GP referrals rather than anything else, and to weed out people who can't explain their symptoms properly so they will die! If I don't sign up, I will continue to wait forever, and probably die anyway!

Does the letter mention how they access your data, where it's stored and whether they sell the data to third parties?

Not sure how this complied with Manx data protection laws It seems strange because it is an English company. Their reasoning is: "To process call recordings" (I wonder what that means) "To capture and track communication with potential clients" It is pretty easy to jump to conclusions about why they want the data in America. Looking around at information about the company I get the impression that the priority is a financial one, not a medical one.

Unfortunately a lot of the info was on the back of the part of the letter which had to be returned, which was obviously a huge cost saving idea from someone at Manx Care.
Two-lane
"Manx Care is mocked over men’s pictures" https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/health/manx-care-is-mocked-over-mens-pictures-515366 "In response to the barrage of comments, the service said: ‘Manx Care is predominantly a female organisation," Is that so? If so, is that by design or simply by chance? If the opposite were so, would the organisation proudly announce that it was dominated by men? It's to demonstrate their "diverse and accepting culture" by showing that incompetent bullies can rise to the top, whatever their gender. 5
