I've seen young families who don't have money to burn have to move into houses with no carpets after perfectly good ones were ripped out. Carpets aren't cheap these days and the waste is unforgivable in an era where recycling/re-use/repurposing is supposed to be the way forward. 3

quilp
Ashford still telling people not to be afraid to burn their gas and keep warm this winter. Is there a massive gap in his perception?

Non-Believer
Perhaps the gap is caused by a Tynwald salary and a Treasury uplift?
Zarley
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Ashford telling people to not be afraid to put their heating on as they wouldn't get the bill until late December/January. January, when people are skint anyway after Christmas. Maybe folks should just put their MG bills through a shredder? Seems to work for Ashford for things he wants to go away. 10

Numbnuts
Every time he opens his gob these days he goes down even further in my eyes. Getting close to as low as he can go currently. He's clearly lost the plot and believing his own hype. Edited November 4, 2021 by Numbnuts 5
