Gladys
Just being reported on MR that the cost of his farewell tour was £4.5k including a healthy wedge of unspecified expenses. 1

I will go as far to say though, some people have serious serious issues and it makes you wonder how they got to where they are in life. Being in public office should be regarded as a privilege not a right. You serve the people. You don’t get drunk, vomit on buses, or get drunk on licensed premises. You should set an example, especially to all those participants of Junior Tynpotwald. I’m not saying you have to be on duty 24/7, but some of these clowns havent any common sense, they besmirch the elected office. They think that civil servants will cover it up. Sorry, but eventually it all comes out in the wash. Quayle specifically mentioned the Manx Rumour Mill at a news conference with St Ashy, Patron Saint of the Shredder. Think your alluding in your post to another high up MHK who also has alot to answer for too. Again I cant argue with your comments and also the feelings you have for our illustrious Health minister. He clearly caught the disease being surrounded by so much bullshit and self importance . Makes you wonder how much power the Civil Service has over the MHK's and the likes with what they know and see ! . Probably a lot more than that as the Cabinet Office only supplied info on the trips they paid for, not the DfE. Here's the itinerary etc: It would interesting to know if any other retiring CM felt it necessary to carry out such farewell tours.

Kopek
If HQ is ill again and stress related that would be shame as he within sight of finishing his term. Good luck to him. 1

Note 15/9/21 entry, meeting with DUP MPs and Peers. If nothing else, he didn’t learn from his last PR fiasco. Perhaps he should have got Rob Callister to give him some PR advice. Maybe Tony Brown did a farewell tour of the Calf!
