Not to mention nowhere near an airport as they severly interfere with radar. Lets not build on a potential gas field, high speed ferry routes. Why not just purchase/lease a few extra from a UK concern when they next build an offshore facilty then sell it into UK grid to get top price on any unused capacity. That way you could over size the thing for 120%-140% of maximum demand on a low wind day and use the revenue to pay for the facility while getting our own electricity for free or subsidised. Trouble is our politicos will want to micromanage a highly visible '"look how virtuous we are" triskelion, celtic painted monsters and still screw it up by having them face the wrong way.
