Hardly surprising. Everytime somebody wants to improve Ramsey, out come the petitions to stop them

Everytime somebody wants to improve Ramsey, out come the petitions to stop them It's not an "improvement" as such, it's the DOI carrying out some safety-based remedial work to yet another Ramsey building that is in danger of shedding masonry and material into public streets and walkways. This building (and its occupiers) have long been a matter of concern.

Some might say that it would have been a waste of time had the DOI gone ahead with the proposed Quay plans when so much of the rest of the original town is being demolished or falling down around it 😂 There's a few residents wondering how things were ever allowed to get into this state, it didn't happen overnight... The local commissioners should have gotten to grips with this a long time ago. They all put themselves up for election but appear to have done nothing since getting into office. The new crop were making noises but so far not a lot getting done

Kopek
Works both ways though, doesn't it? If there were a building that we all know and love and that was due for demolition, then we would be up in arms?
Banker
I noticed workers last few days undertaking repairs to roof etc , anyone know what position is with planning or demolition? Surely can’t continue with this road closed indefinitely?
