Be sure to tell the surgeon who removed your sense of humour that the operation was a complete success....

It’s not really very sophisticated is it?

Its like a three year old running around shouting “Pooh Pooh” and thinking it’s hilarious.

Still if it amuses you

A good few years ago now being at a mates house for dinner and to see their new Poggenpohl kitchen when their 3 year old bursts into the kitchen shouting Pooh Pooh and proceeds to throw the contents of their potty over the new kitchen units.

That was funny

Since when has it got to be sophisticated to be funny?

Talk about being right up your own...

One of the most famous / popular comedians ever was one Mr B Hill and I have to say his comedy was "not very sophisticated" to put it mildly.

Get someone to explain to you what the word "subjective" means.

It will certainly help you here...

My friend who was a woodwork teacher completed an end of term report after a pupil had done well at completing a wooden stool, 'Joe has produced a perfect stool for his latest project.'.

Manx Gas are asking the islands gas regulator to increase its prices again for a second time.

No surprises there. I assume that the poorest people will be helped through this hike (by the IOMG, charities, etc) so that they can avoid a grossly inhumane cruel choice between ‘heating and eating’.

IMHO, the gas price rise will have impacts on the IOM economy such as hospitality. E.g., some mid-income earners will be making the choice between heating and ‘eating out’. Decisions to ‘eat in’ could soon lead to a downturn in trade in pubs and restaurants, cafes etc., as punters curtail their leisure expenses. This could get pretty grim all around, including for businesses which will not get any financial support.

This isn’t now a case where one sector of society (poorer) was solely affected, but with now with a potential Tynpotwald sanctioned tariff rise, this will affect the whole of the island, both residential gas users and commercial businesses which use gas. As I stated before, if this boil isn’t lanced, then each Tynpotwald session will be dominated by Manx Gas and it’s antics. Can the island afford this form of blackmail?

In the UK most of the Gas providers have a cheaper ‘social’ tariff for those on low incomes, and those in social housing and other rented housing, have pre-paid gas meters (unlike the IOM - Manx Gas will not fit them due to the cost, they prefer to charge £250 deposit for an account).
