The Spanish & French actually do hunt songbirds, millions of them, illegally. So it's not just not a load of old bull!

The NPM is giving this event some publicity with an interview with ex MHK Phil Gawne, who is playing a doctor in the street play. As a good doctor with lots of ‘cock a lory and bullshit’ as a potion, perhaps he can revive the decaying corpses of the Department of Infrastructure, and create a magic spell for the Liverpool Landing Stage, whereby it costs under £10million as opposed to the in excess of £70million.

You are confusing two different mummer plays. Hunt the Wren is a St Stephens day event.

Ah yes, Return the Blow I think that one was called. I enjoy explaining to younger folk, especially those from Across, how we used to be schooled in a dance celebrating domestic violence.
