ManxTaxPayer
How many Manx drivers are aware of the planned Highway Code changes coming in at the end of January, creating a hierarchy of road users? I'll hazard fewer than 2 in 3. Edited January 13, 2022 by ManxTaxPayer

Mercenary
That is UK highway code - not sure if IOM one is changing (not heard anything)

Perhaps February or March.
Omobono
I will be happy if we can get drivers to give a signal when they are approaching a roundabout and to give priority to the vehicle on the right , 2

Rule 188 Mini-roundabouts. Approach these in the same way as normal roundabouts. All vehicles MUST pass round the central markings except large vehicles which are physically incapable of doing so

Annoymouse
Hopefully they will up the speed at which we can overtake cyclists/slow moving vehicles on double white lines/hatched areas next, particular highlight being the mountain road which has quite a few double white line/hatched sections that give ample enough time/distance to overtake regardless of whether a cyclist is doing 15 or 30 mph. I doubt that will happen. Remember it's a code and not a law. You have the discretion. Woe betide if you get it wrong.

I always overtake cyclists if it’s safe to do so whether there’s double lines or not , it’s allowed

Just ban cyclists from up there. It's not an alien concept as they're banned from motorways in the UK.
