TheTeapot
I love it, it's what the square should be like.

I should imagine the immediate locals like it, most of the opposition seems to come from those who are horrified they can't park their car immediately outside the shop they want to go to. Walking 50 metres is inconceivable. What they have done this time, which is sensible, is put up plans of where the parking is in the centre of Castletown. Though putting the map prominently on website/Facebook might help people know before they got there.
Declan
I think it's mainly the butcher that hates it. 1
The Phantom
Looks good. Glad to see some of our officials doing something sensible and productive with planning and traffic.

Even the merest suggestion that a space will be removed and they're out in force
0bserver
Looks great. Pull down the old fire station and open a car park there and bus stop. Win win win
John Wright
And just when you think traffic management in Castletown can’t get any worse, with scaffolding outside Derby House, and the consequent one way and bus diversion, they’re working on Alexandra Road ( which is the alternative route ). NB Alexandra Road runs from Malew Street/Malew Road junction ( at the start of the by pass ) to Victoria Road roundabout. There isn’t an Alexander Road that I’m aware of. Will Halsall
Cross 4 ways has lights, St Marks from Ballasalla is closed but you won’t know until you are up past Abbotswood by Phildraw Road. A bit of a pain in the arse when I discovered that. Advance notice at Ballasalla stores would have been considerate.

Usual fckn mess with southern roads. it would never happen on mountain road and coast road at the same time

It is good of them to be mindful of school traffic in the middle of the summer holidays. 2
