Manx Bean
Again, another piss poor attempt to deflect blame from himself by being economical with the truth. I actually went and did a company search today. Robert Howard Quayle is the shareholder of one company in the Isle of Man - Ballavitchell Estates. The other equal shareholder is no other than...Mrs Lorraine Quayle. FFS anybody would think the public are stupid and incapable of getting to the facts!! TheTeapot
Wow. I never thought it would be that much. £200 a week and jail if you tried to go to work. Fuck off. 3
Wake Up Call
How did that local hotel group do out of it?
Get a life
I smell complete BS from HQ CBE. He claims the first he heard of the FoI request was last Friday, yet was he not stand in minister for the DfE at the time of the request as he replaced Lawrence Skelly when he became President?

GreyWolf
I wonder if those cottages were built with any grant assistance to go along with the countryside care grant that would be a triple dip to the poor taxpayers, that along with having a well paid chief minister job at the time when a lot of families were really struggling and still are, it certainly leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Releasing the HQ amount in isolation was probably wrong as the whole set of data should be released publicly.
x-in-man
He must be doing OK there now. Cannot find any free dates for any of 12 cottages in St Marks for this year. Maybe he has to turf the residents out first.
Non-Believer
I'm quite surprised at the figure but not at the practice. Government/PS is just a help-yourself trough, the bastards just fill their pockets at every opportunity, even creating them if necessary. Clearly from the top down in this instance. While everybody else is belt-tightening, feeling the pinch and bracing themselves for the next Rates and tax rises, the pigs just push their snouts deeper into the swill. Morals don't come into it.
