I'm sure I remember hearing someone on the Olympic Committee once commenting that it was much easier to get the Olympics up and running in Dictator led countries. Putin appeared to fall asleep when Ukraine came out. Taiwan have been forced to compete as 'Chinese Taipei'. Also shame that Eve Muirhead (of the sexy ice death stare) isn't competing this year. We've still got a chance in some of the jumpy snow events. Have we got anything viable on the luge/bobsled track this year? Was good to see Jacobellis getting gold in the Boarder-cross after throwing it away with that jump incident in 2006. And now she has been caught up in what looks like the worst sort of drug cheat bureaucracy that Russia is so infamous for. If she is drugs free it is a tragedy. If she was plaid (how do you spell that]) the drugs unknowingly it is a tragedy. If she took them knowingly it is a tragedy. Really shame as she took her art-form to a whole new level. If I remember correctly a lot of the GB team have previously competed for other countries or could not get into their teams so found a reason to compete for GB. The luge guys are German aren't they? These days they tend to be more British than the Ice Hockey team that once won gold for Britain. Every one of them was born in Canada!
