So take a look at these docs and think to yourself for a minute, is what these people have said is accurate, unbiased and balanced (supposedly religious fanatics who started a petition because they don’t like that gender and trans covered in a syllabus). Or have they slanted it to sound vile and disturbing because they think gay sex is abhorrent? There will be an investigation and everything will come out in the report and I’m sure the main thing to come from it will be that this curriculum, and the education of our children, is imperative to actually ensure the safeguarding of children, combat against the conditions where abuse could be rife due to silence, stigma and ignorance, and produce a society where children are informed and able to protect themselves by recognising abusive behaviour. Unfortunately, we live in a world where often when little boys learn about RSE, they realise that the secret they keep about what their uncle does to them is wrong and they finally speak up. Safeguarding and abuse disclosures do happen following sex education!
