that makes a bit amore sense then,

so pedantically a drag queen isn't a drag queen unless they are actually dressed up in drag then ??     does that mean a pedophile is not a pedophile if they aren't engaging in sexual activity with a minor at the time ?

Clown award of the day goes to..

A drag artist does not equal a drag queen.

Drag Artists do not equal pedophiles.

No, you idiot, they are still a paedophile! why are you comparing paedophiles and drag queens. What is actually wrong with you?

Concerning isn’t it the obsession they have with everything being pedophiles.

Julie Edge is just another in a long line of hapless ministers with no clue what's going on within their own department. Things have definitely gone on but the statement will say very little. The cover will be 'to protect the children' and that will be that. Opaque government doesn't wash its dirty linen in public, and with a tame media and little political scrutiny (Only Jason Moorhouse) they'll move on with nothing to see and lessons learned. I'm putting money on it...

This aged well.

From what I can understand or make of what’s going on, it’s a case of demonising children to the extent that they can’t be believed in what they actually say. Something obviously happened to the extent that a ‘report’ has to be commissioned, and the ensuing negative publicity which followed. It’s very convenient to blame others, especially parents.

Who's demonised a child?

And yes, something happened that required a report. A bunch of ideologically motivated cult members made a big fuss.

Well when I emailed the Daily Mail to ask if their “special investigative reporter” was aware that the woman claiming on Facebook to be the mother of the child sent out of the class had been in prison for a dishonesty offence they never got back to me.

They never got back to you because you forgot to include how much her house was worth.

So not a drag Queen but a person who entertains as a drag artist……what kind of double speak is this ?  It is the double speak of a Minister who is out of her depth, has not a clue what is going on in the schools.    I thought the whole idea was to discuss whether children of 11 years old were getting information which was suited to much older students and whether parents should be aware of what their children  are being instructed in.    My grandchildren enjoy drop down days and have had talks on dangerous driving, a taster of Yoga etc.  but they were horrified when I told them what 11 year olds were allegedly being told and the language used.   Some 11 year olds are streetwise but others are not and it is the vulnerable ones that need protecting .     This report should have been reported as a whole they have had plenty of time to prepare it by dissing the most extreme allegation they are clearly not going to give the whole situation the credibility it deserves.

What did you tell them? Was it from what was actually taught or that ridiculous document that was spread around?

How do you know it was a ridiculous document?    We have yet to get a report on the actual subject matter, we have just got a denial of a Drag Queen giving sex lessons which was not the concern just an embellishment as the tale grew bigger. It was a person who did drag acts to entertain…a big difference then.

The ridiculous document is from a group called "TransgenderTrend" who are aggressively anti-Trans. It can be found here:

https://www.transgendertrend.com/product/inclusive-relationships-and-sex-education-in-schools-rse/

It bears no resemblance to the actual curriculum, which can be found here for each year:

https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/departments/education-sport-and-culture/

https://www.gov.im/media/1378934/relationships-and-sex-education-rse-advisory-curriculum.pdf

https://www.gov.im/media/1378935/rse-year-7.pdf

https://www.gov.im/media/1378936/rse-year-8.pdf

https://www.gov.im/media/1378937/rse-year-9.pdf

https://www.gov.im/media/1378938/rse-year-10.pdf

https://www.gov.im/media/1378939/rse-year-11.pdf

And further, the document is entirely irrelevant to the drop down days because nothing to do with the RSE curriculum was being taught or presented by the guest at the school.

So it sounds like you've just shouted about fisting to your grandkids for no reason.

You are obviously biased as having a background in education but whistling in the wind as far as this matter and the education in general on the Island leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't have a background in education. And yes, you've made it abundantly clear that you're more interested in outrage than facts on this particular issue.

Clearly.

It definitely appears to have failed you.
