Whatever you think of this it is indisputable that this itself would be described as nonsense not so long ago ( and is still described as thus by many). All I said was this identifying ( or more properly claiming to identify ) as a cat all started as a response to the gender identity issues. Without that gender identity debate, no one would have even thought to say that they identified as a cat etc. It’s a response to it that’s all. You can’t say there’s no linkage. Well you can but you’d be wrong. Whether it’s meant to be humorous or take the piss out of those claiming to be of a different gender from the sex they were born I don’t know. I've never forgotten a quote by an Irish historian from years ago. It went something like: The Republic won its independence from Britain in a bitter Irish civil war in 1922; and what followed was sixty years of popery, poverty, paedophilia and the potato. Like Spain, from where many Celts originally came, Eire became one of the poor countries of Europe. In fact I don't believe anyone is identifying as a cat (which is very different from gender).
