Non-Believer
UK OFT about to start an investigation, I saw yesterday. Forecourts are making the same margin as previously. Refiners and wholesalers er, aren't, apparently...

The duty break takes 6p off, so in reality the difference is 45P. At the beginning of the year unleaded wholesale price was $2.45. Yesterday's close was $3.45, for 3.8 litres. That is about 20P a litre difference, not 45P. Just saying! Well £ has fallen 11/12% since start of year & as oil is in $ that adds to higher prices , also costs of refining, transport etc much higher

It won’t fall on the island, not for a while. The fuel retailers have total protection from IOMG and CM Cannan, and remember folks, the private sector do all the heavy lifting. They also have massive tanks that hold gallons and gallons of fuel bought at high prices but really tiny tanks for the lower price purchases 1
