But looks like a new restaurant (Cheng Du Impressions?) is getting ready to open on Broadway, where Meating/Cappadoccio used to be. Blimey that's quick! I'm sure I saw Cappadocia open recently. What sort of restaurant?

There's some Oriental writing on the sign above the door, so gotta be Oriental food. Cappadocia has been closed for a good few weeks now.

I was running past so I was probably not paying much attention... maybe it had already reopened under the new name 😅

There's a few hundred of them over. They wanted a huge number of tickets.

Fred the shred
I hope they don’t all get stuck here with travel problems, that is what happened a little while ago it made the National News ….great publicity.
piebaps
Fred - some Kendal fans were stranded due to the weather. It didn't make national news but was mentioned on regional news. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce4e5p7zqj4o . Ramsey Rugby Club were similarly stranded in Manchester the same weekend for the same reason. You appear to be implying that the Isle of Man is shit due to some travel disruption caused by a large storm, which seems a little thin - even for MF which seems to be the place where people come to run down the IOM. It did make national news and was even on national TV. Like you say though, no reflection on the island at all. In fact you could say it shows how popular the place is even in mid winter that the alternative travel was booked up for days.
