Nearly every restaurant etc close on Monday, Tuesday & some Wednesday particularly in winter, in port Erin the only place you can get hot food on Monday or Tuesday in winter is the chippy!! True. I had clients over a few weeks ago on a Monday and strolled the entire length of the Quay looking for somewhere to get lunch. Admittedly a couple were closed to maintenance or something rather than schedule, but we ended up going to Street Kitchen on Prospect Hill! There and the Queens closed for absolutely no apparent reason. Aren’t all the pubs in Onchan H&B as well?
