He’s been shut a lot in last few months so sounds more like health issues

Flavourings are OK. And the government can issue a derogation. But here they seem to be looking at using the bread as the carbohydrate base, rather than grain.

The concentrate for oyster stout is added after brewing ( I think ) as was the caramel that coloured Castletown mild. By that stage it’s been brewed.

The "caramel" is also known as gravy browning, I am wondering just what stale bread would bring to a brew ?, not sugar or hops, no malted grain at all, just maybe,a poor source of yeast, which to be honest isn't expensive .

IMHO it sounds like a gimmick.

Yeast should be killed off by baking. Lots of starch

Were you in charge of brewing when they tried to get the law changed to brew lager? Labatts first before their own Cooil lager with the silly foam head wasn't it?

Well, one of those exemptions is for lager brewing

I see James wong Chinese takeaway is closing after this weekend. Citing health issues and rising costs

There are so many bad jokes possible in that statement....

I will leave it up to your own imaginations.... 🙂

Never been there but I am sure it will have been on a par with other Chinese takeaways on the island, as in, not as good as the ones you find in the UK
