Something needs to happen. Yes, it would be great if they could take the building next to it as well. Free up a whole block for modern development. It’s not an esports lounge, it’s a gaming lounge which seems to do decent business but which never really looked like it was going to stack up as a standalone business, which is why it’s in somewhere where there is no rent, and staffing costs, heating etc are all already paid. It’s a decent supplement to the existing businesses in there and brings more people into the building who then buy food, drinks etc while paying to play games. We stayed there recently and the room and food was superb. Why assume that if a business that is owned by people who are approaching retirement goes up for sale it means it isn’t working?
